]]> Mr. Wood and his wife, Jamie, were both born and raised in Nacogdoches. They met while attending Stephen F. Austin State University and were married in 2008. Since then, they have been blessed with two wonderful children who currently attend 91ԭ. The family has been part of the 91ԭ community since 2019 and have grown to deeply love and support the school’s mission.

Chad is a financial advisor with Pineywoods Financial, bringing a thoughtful and disciplined approach to helping others manage their financial goals. Jamie serves as both a teacher and aide at 91ԭ, where her passion for education and care for students is clearly seen.

The family are active members of Fredonia Hill Baptist Church, where Chad serves as a deacon. He also enjoys the outdoors, especially scuba diving and spearfishing. However, Chad values spending quality time with his family most of all.

]]> Debra will be teaching the Film class for 7th and 8th grade students. Recently moving to Nacogdoches from central Florida, where she taught Christian Film at True North Academy. In the past she has worked for production companies in various capacities. Some of the projects she has worked on have won awards like: The Lawton Chiles Day in the Life of a Child Award, Telly Awards and Crystal Reel Awards. She has also taught at Conneticut School of Broadcasting, Florida Metropolitan University, and Orlando Tech. Working at Walt Disney World, she was at: Hollywood Studios One Man’s Dream, as a presenter and guide, and at the Caravan Theatre with “Flights of Wonder.” She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rollins College, a Certificate in Television Production from Orlando Technical School, Final Cut Pro training from Invision Digital Media and NexGen Certification. Debra loves teaching film to students and feels blessed to be part of the 91ԭ family.

]]> Deena received her BS degree in Speech Language Pathology from Abilene Christian
University and MS in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Southern
Mississippi. She has worked as a speech language pathologist in the public schools
and taught at Stephen F. Austin in the Speech Language Pathology Program.

She has been married to David since 1996 and they have four grown children and two
granddaughters. She enjoys camping, traveling, and playing Pickleball.

She is looking forward to working at a 91ԭ, so she can be a Christian
influence and be able to openly share God’s truth to help strengthen student’s
relationship with God. God provided this opportunity to work at 91ԭ and
she is excited to see the plans he has.

]]> Leah Vermillion teaches 6th and 7th grade Latin along with 8th and 9th Writing. She graduated from New Saint Andrews College in 2025 with a degree in Liberal Arts and Culture and has returned to 91ԭ from which she graduated in 2021. Outside of school, she enjoys backpacking, running, cooking, sipping coffee and tea, and reading classic literature.
In both Latin and the English language, Leah seeks to point students to the beauty and power of words as they craft language to persuade, encourage, and delight readers to the glory of God.
